Bloom Supermarket Creates 90 Jobs with New Store in Charlotte

Grand Opening set for Wednesday, August 12

SALISBURY, N.C. – Bloom is happy to unveil its eighth store in the Charlotte, N.C., market, welcoming approximately 90 new associates to the Bloom family.  The store, located at 8138 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road in Charlotte, will begin grand opening celebrations on Tuesday, August 11, with a “Shop Happy Hour” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by an official grand opening on Wednesday, August 12 at 8 a.m..

“Bloom is extremely pleased to continue expansion in the Charlotte market by bringing a different kind of grocery store to this community,” said Tammy DeBoer, vice president of Bloom. “Bloom strives to deliver a unique, novel and fun shopping experience for its guests, with a strong focus on convenience, quality, variety, price and superior guest service.  We look forward to serving the Charlotte/Huntersville community.”

Tuesday’s celebration begins at 4:15 p.m., and includes:

• Check presentations to Hopewell High School Jazz Band, Hopewell High School Color Guard and Long Creek Elementary School
• Free ice cream to guests from 4 to 7 p.m.
• Shop Happy Hour, featuring product sampling and wine and cheese tasting from 5 to 7 p.m.
• Giveaways to the first 200 guests

The celebration will continue on Saturday, August 15, with a block party in the store’s parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring family-friendly activities.

The store, located in the Long Creek Village shopping center, will feature the following unique offerings:

• Full-service fresh seafood department
• Natural and organic products
• Wide variety of wines
• Specialty deli meats and cheeses

The store will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. Mike Parker will be the store manager. Parker has 17 years of grocery retail experience with three years dedicated to Bloom.
